DynaVap

George Breiwa built the first DynaVap in his garage in 2015 because he wanted a vaporizer that didn't need a battery. Ten years later, it's the most efficient vaporizer we've tested at any price.

"I didn't set out to build a vaporizer company. I set out to build a better vaporizer. The company happened because other people wanted one too."

— George Breiwa, founder

The Origin — A Wisconsin Garage, 2015

DynaVap was founded in 2015 by George Breiwa in River Falls, Wisconsin. George's background was in manufacturing and machining — he understood materials and tolerances at a level most product founders don't. His frustration with available vaporizers was specific: they all required batteries, chargers, and electronics that failed over time. He wanted something that would work indefinitely, required no power source beyond a lighter, and produced genuinely excellent vapor.

The first DynaVap — called "The Stainless" — was a simple stainless steel tube with a thermal cap that clicked when it reached vaporization temperature. No display. No battery. No app. Just physics and precision machining. George made the first batch himself and sold them directly. The community response was immediate and intense. Within two years, DynaVap had a following that rivaled brands with ten times the marketing budget.

The click system is DynaVap's defining innovation. The captive cap is made from a bimetal material that expands at a precise temperature — producing an audible, tactile click that tells you exactly when to stop heating and start drawing. It works at -20°F and 110°F. It works after 10,000 heat cycles. It requires no calibration, no battery, no connectivity. It just works, every single time, until the end of time.

The Philosophy — Simplicity Is the Ultimate Sophistication

George's stated mission has always been making high-quality vaporization accessible. The DynaVap M7 XL — their flagship — costs $89. This is intentional. George believes quality vaping shouldn't require a $400 purchase. The efficiency math backs this up: a DynaVap extracts more from less herb than virtually any other portable, making the device's cost trivial over time.

DynaVap's community (r/Dynavap, the DynaVap forums) is among the most passionate and technical in vaping. Users obsess over torch technique, heating angles, stem modifications, and induction heater pairings. This is the other side of the simplicity philosophy — a device with no electronics has infinite room for user customization and technique development. The learning curve is the feature.

Where They Are Now

The M Series is now in its 7th generation — the M7 and M7 XL. Each generation has refined the condenser design, tip geometry, airflow adjustability, and cap precision. The XL adds an extended condenser for cooler vapor and 6 adjustable airflow settings. Everything is still made from medical-grade stainless steel in the USA. George still runs the company. The click still tells you when to stop.

★ CVK on DynaVap

DynaVap is proof that the best vaporizer doesn't need a battery. George Breiwa built something genuinely different in 2015 — a precision-machined, thermally-activated, perpetually repairable piece of hardware that extracts more from less herb than anything else at the price. The click system is one of the most elegant engineering solutions in the category. If you haven't tried a DynaVap, you're missing a fundamentally different kind of session.
